WWE News – Former WWE Superstar Makes Surprise Debut In Ring Of Honor
Late in 2017, Emma (now going by her real name, Tenille Dashwood) was released by the WWE after two impressive performances against the new arrival to RAW, Asuka.
Her 90-day no compete clause is now up, and she hasn’t wasted a single moment in making a splash on the independent scene.
At the recent Honor Reigns Supreme event, Dashwood made her debut in Ring of Honor, and along with it came the announcement that she will now be a part of the tournament to crowd the first ever Women of Honor Champion.
Fans were all waiting to see what Emma would do following her WWE release, and outside of joining Impact, this is the biggest possible move that she could have made.
She joins a company that is based on in-ring abilities and she will definitely shine.
Other women in this inaugural tournament include Deonna Purazzo, Brandi Rhodes and former TNA standout Madison Rayne, and adding Dashwood to that lineup makes it one of the best women’s divisions in the world. Not everyone in ROH have exclusive deals, so it may still be possible for the former NXT standout to join the former TNA, but it’s unlikely given how big of a name she is and with ROH incredibly likely to push her as a top star.
Along with The Young Bucks, Dalton Castle, Cody Rhodes and others, Dashwood gives legitimacy and depth to the ROH roster. Now with the introduction of the Women of Honor, it’s going to be a more well-rounded promotion.
So what do you guys think? Is this a good move for Emma’s career? Is this going to entice you to tune in to ROH, especially with their HonorClub subscription service coming up? Do you like/dislike Emma and her abilities? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
