Why you should try Kickboxing and Muay Thai in Hong Kong?

Hi my name is Jeferson Oliveira. I’m
Kickboxing coach for The Studio by JAB.
I teach class for kids and adults from all
ages and all levels. Previously I’ve been a
professional fighter. I’ve been fighting
for seven year, had 105 fights and
I’ve been world champion in 2014. Kickboxing is
actually a martial arts where you can
punch, you can kick, specifically with Muay Thai where you can elbow, you can also
knee your opponent and you make use of your whole body to attack and to
defend yourself. We start with a warm-up.
we move around, we skip rope, we run, we
do all sorts of exercises. Then we go on
for technique workout and then after
techniques we do fitness workout; we train your arms, your legs, abs and core
and then we finish with a cool-down. Kickboxing is good to help you with your
confidence; not only with your physical
but also help you keep fit mentally. On
one-on-one kick boxing lessons, the
training is more tailored for the
person depending on what the persons
goal is whether its lose weight, to get fit,
depending on what the persons
goal is; the training is tailored for that.
We hold events, we make inter-clubs, we
have white-collar events for all
students that have never fought before and
would like to go in the ring without
actually be a fighter leave of that if
they want this experience and to try
what they be learning and the technique
and all of that. I train a couple of
amateur fighters. I also train
professional fighters and we actually
have fights coming up throughout the
year. Okay, so in Muay Thai we can use eight
points of contacts okay which are fists
or elbow, knees and kicking or shins okay.
Hit with your lefthand, hit with your right
hand. These are the two basic punching
okay: the attack with the fist. The basic
attack with the elbows is
the side elbow: left side, elbow right
side elbow. Step yourself close range to
your opponent, close range to your target and hit with your elbows.
okay we also have knee strike, you can hit
with the right knee, you can hear with
your left knee and we have the kicking
okay which you kick with your shin with
the left with, the right leg and then the
other Muay Thai is being able to combine all
of those and make combinations with all
of those movements.
