Kofi Kingston ready to shock the world: SmackDown LIVE, Sept. 24, 2019

He’s the WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston.>>Now, hold on a second, Michael. We do things, we put our heads into. We say it with enthusiasm, man. Here we go, it’s your WWE World Heavy
weight champion, baby. Enthuse, man.>>Well, we tried that once remember.>>We did, yeah. It didn’t quite worked out so well. Your hips still need a little bit of work,
but it’s all good.>>Hey, let’s talk about Brock Lesnar. He came down to the ring last
week he challenged you to a WWE Championship match. He delivered a massive, that five. Why on Earth would you
accept this challenge?>>You know what?
A lot of people have been asking me that very same question, and
the answer is really simple. When I became WWE champion, I made a promise to the WWE Universe
that I would be a fighting champion. And this is just another
chapter of me fighting. That’s it.>>How do you prepare for the Beast?>>I feel like you can’t really
prepare for somebody with the moniker. The beast incarnate. Right?
You never know what Brock Lesnar is gonna do in that ring. But I’ll tell you what, right now,
I feel like I’m at the top of my game. I don’t mean to brag or
boast, or whatever, but I’ve beaten superstars like Samoa Joe,
Dolph Ziegler, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton. Kevin Owens, these guys are all some
of the greatest in WWE right now, and I’ve beaten all of them, and I just feel
like I’m at the top of my game right now, I feel pretty good.>>Think about this historic night,
a week from this coming Friday, Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is the premier of
Friday Night SmackDown on Fox, and you’ll be defending the WWE Championship
against Brock Lesnar. You feel pressure?>>I always feel pressure. I’m always trying to be the best WWE
champion that I can possibly be. But here’s the thing, I feel like
this is an amazing opportunity for WWE to be involved with Fox,
it’s a huge deal, and again, for myself to be at the forefront of it all. Facing Brock Lesner. A lot of people thing that Brock’s
just gonna come in and have his way. Come in, be the big attraction,
and walk out as WWE champion, but, I’ve worked too long and
too hard to get to this point. And I’m not ready to let
go of this title just yet. So, like I said man, I feel like I’m at the top of my game
right now, and I feel very confident. And I know, when I walk out of
that Fox Premiere on October 4th, beating Brock Lesnar. I will remain your
WWE World Heavyweight Champion, baby. I feel real good.>>[APPLAUSE]
